GOOD STANDING FROM OTHER LOCALS

NEW MEMBERS:

OLD/CURRENT BUSINESS:

I. President’s Report

  • John Layne and Jenny Franzen will be assisting Rhonda with software updates. The office will be going back to Peachtree and no longer use Sage.
  • The voucher B25773 is funds that will be paid out to CSO players retired prior to 1989. These funds are from WGUC for radio broadcasts and cover the payouts for years 2015 and 2016. Funds were transferred to an escrow account and then paid from there. Don Hurd made the motion to approve the lump sum payments and Joe Gaudio gave the second. Motion was approved.
  • President Frankenfeld gave the Trustees an update on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert held at US Bank arena. He wanted to see if the TSO had hired area musicians. He discovered that 9 local players were used but since Local 1 does not have an agreement with US Bank Arena he was not allowed to enter and was politely asked to leave. Mike Andres suggested Paul contact area contractors to see who was hired. President Frankenfeld wants to investigate is the TSO is a group managed by Steve Trudell. If so, he will take this to the IEB. Trudell is always happy to hire union musicians as long as there is no union contract.

II. CCO

  • Debbie Newmark called President Frankenfeld and has asked that he use the official AFM ballots with the CCO and the IMA vote.
