Welcome to the website of the Cincinnati Musicians’ Association, which is Local 1 of the American Federation of Musicians. Since 1881 this organization has been the source for some of the finest professional musicians in the Midwest.

Our members play in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the Blue Ash-Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, accompany the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, The Frank Simon Band, and the Blue Wisp Band.  Its members are freelance players accompany choral concerts, play in churches, play in recording studios, play in the pit for shows, at parties, receptions and dances or in many jazz, rock, blues and contemporary venues around the city.
