What does Promo do?
Promo’s role is to handle the hassles of getting the monies due Local 1 members for their work so that the members don’t have to. By handling payroll details, all you need do is play your job and deposit your check.
What’s Included?
Promo’s work includes working with organizations and individuals who fund performances. We also work directly with contractors and handle all the details of Social Security and FICA deductions, keep names and addresses straight, handle slow-paying promoters, and more.
Who’s it for?
Members in good standing of Local 1.
How much does it cost?
A small percentage is deducted from each check to cover the cost of doing business.
